Important School Information March 25, 2020

Posted March 25, 2020

Dear PSJES Families, All Parents should be contacted by their student’s teachers by the end of this week with information regarding their student’s distance learning and whether they will engage in digital materials or paper materials beginning next week. It is imperative that we have an accurate contact number in order for us to make contact with you during this process. Please notify the school if your number needs to be updated. If we do not have an updated number, you may not hear from your student’s teacher. You can contact the front office between the hours of 8:00-1:00 Monday-Friday. Paper materials can be picked up Monday, March 30th–Wednesday, April 1st next week from 8:00-1:00 at Port St. Joe Elementary School. If you are using digital materials, you do not need to pick up paper materials. Students will complete at least 3 i-Ready lessons per subject area in both reading and mathematics each week. Other materials will include ideas to promote science, social studies and physical education. Accelerated Reader will be open at all times for our digital material users and a reading log will be provided for our paper material users. We encourage you to read with your children as much as possible! Each student/parent will be contacted by the student’s teacher (5th and 6th grade- 1st period teachers) on a weekly basis and invite you to reach out to your teacher or the school for any needs that arise. Please know that we are dedicated to your child and available to accommodate any struggles or needed enrichment throughout this process. The 3rd nine weeks report cards will be mailed out sometime next week. Please remember pick-up lunches are being provided for students at Port St. Joe Elementary from 11:30-1:00 Monday-Friday. Lunches are also delivered on routine bus routes Monday-Friday on a PLUS -5 hour adjustment. If you have any questions, please call our school office at 227-1221. We will continue to keep you updated with information.
