The Future of Standardized Testing

Posted August 20, 2020

The Florida Department of Education is thinking about the future of standardized assessments, and realizes how important it is to lift up our voices as it considers what types of innovation could better support student needs.

We have set up a series of virtual focus groups later this month (see list below), and are writing to ask you to consider participating in one.

●           Friday, August 21: 9-10 a.m.
●           Monday, August 24: 5-6 p.m.
●           Tuesday, August 25: 5-6 p.m.
●           Friday, August 28: 4-5 p.m.
●           Monday, August 31: 5-6 p.m.

If you would like to apply to participate, please complete this survey and let us know which dates would work with your schedule.

The feedback you provide will be anonymized to protect your privacy and we will provide a small financial incentive for everyone who participates in recognition of their time commitment.

We are also planning to conduct at least one of the above focus group sessions in Spanish. If you would like to participate in Spanish, please note that in your application response.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the manager of this project, Trey Cesar, at [email protected] .
