The FDLRS Administration is offering a two-part Social Tales Parent Webinar. Social tales are visual stories that are individualized for students to assist them in understanding a variety of behaviors and difficult concepts, like personal space and keeping hands to yourself. These stories can be a single page printed out, multiple pages that create a book and even digital stories. Participants will be introduced to the different forms of social tales and the foundational components of well-developed social tales. Part 1, “What are Social Tales?” will include a description of what social tales are and the importance of utilizing them with children. Part 2, “How to Create a Social Tale,” will focus on the implementation of social tales. There will be a question and answer session with our expert for each webinar. FDLRS wants to provide parents and families with opportunities to participate, so the one-hour morning webinars will be repeated in the evening, so those interested can choose the best option available.
